Designed in France for ocean sailing / racing & known as ?The Edel 6 GTE? it has a very distinctive deep shark fin keel. The keel is considerably narrower and deeper than the standard 665 model. It provided excellent stability, maneuverability and upwind performance. Edel have been manufactured in Canada from 78-82. The cabin is very open and comfortably sleeps 4, a lifting hatch enables standing head room over the galley area when at dock. There is plenty of room for storage and an Ideal weekend get a way for a family. The boat is set up for single handing with roller furling, all lines running to the cockpit. It is easy to sail making it an ideal first boat for someone starting but it also capable of the performance needed by a experienced sailor.
